Junior Mattresses

You may be asking yourself "Which Mattress Is Right For Me?" There are many different types of mattress on the market today, so which one should you choose? Below is a quick summary of the different types of mattresses available.

Open Coil Mattress

Open coil mattresses consist of a wire framework of springs attached to a steel frame surrounded in padding and and outer demask coating. The springs vary in tension to give firmer or softer support. Selected open coil mattresses have 2 levels of springs (called twin sprung) which provides increased levels of comfort and ensure that when turned over, the mattress continues to deliver the best support.

Pocket Sprung Mattress

An extension of the open coil mattress, pocket sprung mattresses go one step further, encasing each individual spring in a quilted fabric pocket. This provides extra support and provides added longevity and avoids the noises associated with open coil. Because of this construction technique pocket sprung mattresses help maintain your sleeping position even in the event of your partner moving during the night.

Memory Foam Mattress

Constructed from multiple layers of visco elastic foam, each of a differing firmness, the top layer of foam on a memory foam mattress uses the natural heat from your body to mould its self to the shape of your body which keeps you in position and provides unpresidented support.

Latex Foam Mattress

These mattresses work in much the same way as memory foam, although latex mattresses have much better heat dissipation properties so you wont tend to get so clammy during the night.

Combination Pocket Sprung and Memory Foam Mattress

A more recent innovation in mattress design is the combination of pocket sprung bases with memory foam tops. These mattresses have all of the quiet support associated with pocket sprung mattresses with the moulded support of a memory foam mattress.
