Airsprung have been manufacturing beds and mattresses for over 130 years from their base in Wiltshire and today they are the largest single site furniture manufacturer in the UK, employing over 600 people nationwide.
In 1871, Hedley Chapman opened a small workshop in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, making straw mattresses under his name and the company quickly grew. In the early 1900s mattress construction became more sophisticated and Chapman kept up with the processes and modernised his technology to stay ahead of technology.
When sprung mattresses came to the market in the 1930s, Chapman quickly upgraded his machinery. Twenty years later, he changed the name of the company to Airsprung, which reflected their new design of mattresses.

Our range of Airsprung beds range from divan beds to wooden beds and guest beds. The divan beds from Airsprung that we sell are available in all bed sizes with a choice of mattress firmness and style, as well as different storage options. The wooden bed frames in our Airsprung section include two pine beds and a white wooden bed, each available in various sizes. We also sell a guest bed from Airsprung with a single pull out bed.
Airsprung mattresses are high quality, we have two pocket sprung mattresses from Airsprung that are priced from £219, while we have a fantastic selection of open coil Airsprung mattresses from just £79. We also sell memory foam mattresses from Airsprung from £199 that respond to heat and pressure changes, giving optimum levels of support and comfort.
Producing over 600,000 beds and mattresses every year under a number of establish brands, the Airsprung Group produce a comprehensive range of divan beds, mattresses, sofa beds and bedsteads. Many well know names feature such as Airsprung Beds, The Windsor Bed Company, Hush and Gainsborough.
The upholstery side of the group goes from strength to strength producing both traditional and modern designs under Cavendish, CD Collection and Benchmark brands. The Airsprung Group of companies is looking forward to the next hundred years and well beyond!
