Thinking back on past Christmas’, fond memories of having all the family under the same roof bring a mixture of memories, some good, some hilarious and some ridiculous and prize worthy arguments. For me, the best thing about Christmas (maybe apart from the presents…) is having all your family and close family friends over for the festivities! However, this often involves one crowded house and a need for much more bed space (I know this because much too often it’s been me sleeping on the sofa). So before you have to condemn one of your poor family members to the discomfort that is waking up after a full night of sleeping in a really odd position on the sofa, why not have a look at our wide range of guest beds. Some of the guest beds are even on next day delivery, such as the Joseph Polo Trundle and Mattress, meaning even a last minute visit can be sorted quickly with a new guest bed!
By ensuring your loved ones are comfortably set up over Christmas in that welcoming new guest bed, you can concentrate on enjoying that one time of year when you’re all together to make more Christmas memories!

I have come to discover, as the weather grows increasingly drab and an icy chill sweeps through my bedroom in a morning, the sound of my alarm clock is without a doubt the worst sound in the world.
First ring of the alarm brings confusion.
Second ring of the alarm brings a miserable groan.
Third ring of the alarm brings the ‘snooze’ button.
And before I know it I have a hectic 20 minutes to be up and at the bus stop, ready for another busy day at the Click 4 Beds office!
Getting out of bed in winter is definitely up there with life’s great challenges! Whilst contemplating a third press of the snooze button on a winter’s morning, I thought how great it would be if humans were to hibernate through the winter season as those other lucky creatures do. It’s only fair really, as down on the explanation of hibernation it Is said that ‘Hibernation is a technique that animals have developed in order to adapt to harsh climates’ and elsewhere on the web it is claimed that in history humans actually used to hibernate for survival, survival being the key word in this argument.
I’m sure you yourselves also find your beds to be increasingly on your mind throughout these dark cold months! The feel of that perfect soft mattress, the comfort derived from multiple pillows, that heavenly moment when you pull your beloved duvet around you can often be the highlight of a weary and icy day.
Unfortunately, life is not fair and though I feel hibernation should be an event with humans as well as rodents and bats and such, in our busy and hectic lifestyles it is not an option. That and it’s not physically possible for us to achieve hibernation, but I won’t bore you with the scientific rubbish.
It seems all we can do during these testing winter months is appreciate the time we do have in our beloved beds, so the perfect mattress, a snuggly pillow and duvet combined with a beautifully designed bed is a must in the winter! The Click 4 Beds website has a wide range of mattresses, plenty of them on a next day delivery service so now is the perfect time to buy your heavenly bed and mattress!

It’s just not fair!!

With less than a hundred sleeps till Christmas the cards and decorations have gone on sale in the shops. Although people are all ready thinking of what to get that special someone for Christmas and trying to work out what that “must have” toy is for the children, what is more important is where are the in-laws going to sleep when they stay over?? Worry not, here at Click4beds we have a huge range of guest beds and day beds. Below are a couple of my favorites, we even have a few on our next day range for those who like to leave it till the last minute!!
The Serene Lyon Day bed is a beautiful bed which would serve many purposes! This day bed would be ideal for a guest room. Finished in black or ivory with a sprung slatted base, the Lyon has a real french inspired feel to it!

The Belmont guest bed features a deep quilted, hypo allergenic, open coil sprung mattress and has a pull out bed with legs that pop up to make the bed into either two singles or pushed together making a super king-size bed. This is the ideal option for when your loved ones come and stay and doesn’t cost the earth either.

Well the seasons are changing, gone are the long sunny days as the nights draw in. Only a month away until we will be traveling to and from work in the dark. As it comes to winter there is nothing i like more than bringing the duvet down to sit in front of the TV looking out of the window at the cold, wet and windy weather.
Its great time to buy a new bed to brighten up them gray days. At click4beds we have a great choice of beds. While looking for new products to add to our ever growing range we stumbled across a few bright designer beds that would add that bit of brightness to any bedroom.

Everyone is so busy these days….most people now work a lot of hours due to the high cost of living so ordering from the internet can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare when you can’t pin point a delivery slot and have to wait in all day for delivery. At Click 4 beds we offer a more flexible service.
Firstly, our standard all day callout would be booked in with you first, making sure the day is convenient for yourself. If this is no good and you need a narrower time slot we offer 2 premium services – pre 9.30am (between 7am & 9.30am) or Saturday AM (between 8am & 1pm) for an extra charge of £30 on top of the standard delivery fee. When ordering your products through the website, these options can be purchased in the basket stage under ‘delivery upgrade options’.

Another delivery service we offer is Northern Ireland or off shore Isles which include the Isle of Wight, the Scottish Isles and the channel Islands. Again, this is at an extra charge of £30 on top of the standard delivery fee and can be purchased in the basket stage as above.
Hopefully, with all of these options, there will be some way for you to fit a delivery of a new bed or mattress from Click 4 beds into your busy lifestyle without taking up too much of that precious time!

Over the last few weeks at Click 4 beds we have been dealing with a company who help to set up exploration camps near mines in Africa. The company ordered 48 Serene Oslo bunk beds which are currently waiting to be shipped over to Ghana. The bunk beds were chosen due to the superior quality of the product over other similar models on the market, this was needed due to them being slept in by people of all ages who visit the camps.

The Oslo bunk is made from really sturdy metal which is finished in a classic silver paint and has a wide step ladder which makes it easier and safer for climbing up to the top bunk. The base consists of strong, sprung wooden slats but also features a centre rail across the length of the bed underneath the slats for extra support – this is something that you dont normally see on other models. This makes the bunk extremely sturdy.
Upon ordering the bunks, the whole sale went through without a glitch due to everyone being on the ball – Serene Furnishings were extremely helpful with us and got the bunk beds delivered quick sharp to the container company where they were being shipped from – this was great news for us as hopefully due to the standard of service they have received right through the sale, the company may use us again and reccommend us further to other people – so watch this space….who knows where Click 4 beds might be going next!

This year is likely to be the driest since the records began back in 1910. As from today the first hosepipe ban in 14 years is affect from 6am this morning affecting nearly seven million people in the north west of England. With forecasts that the temperature is also set to rise to 32′c (87.8f) today in parts of the UK (the hottest of the year so far) with a low through the night of 20′c (68f) the met office have released a level 2 (out of 4) health alert. A spokesman said that due to the hot, humid conditions the elderly, babies and young children will be most at risk.
Night time can also pose a problem, with many people having trouble sleeping due to these high temperatures throughout the night. Part of the natural mechanism of falling asleep involves our body temperature dropping by nearly one degree, on these warmer evenings it takes longer for our bodies to cool down. Below are a few suggestions to aid your nights sleep.
- Close curtains throughout the day to stop direct sunlight heating up your room during the day
- Open a window in the early evening (not too early as the outside temperature maybe hotter than that of the inside)
- Use a fan but remember to leave a window open otherwise the air cannot circulate and the heat from the fans motor will heat room instead of cool!
- Make sure your room is dark. (especially children’s) even tho you might be able to get to sleep studies show people sleep deeper without daylight.
- Use light bedding as this draws moisture away from the body.
- Avoid bright sunlight at the end of the day as this delays your natural body clock. relax before bed to prepare your body for sleep.
- Avoid coffee, tea, chocolate and alcohol before bed.
- Take a glass of water to bed with you.
The set up of the bedroom is very important to a good nights sleep, even more so in the hot weather. The average person will spend 194,821 hours asleep in there lifetime so why compromise when it comes to your bedroom and bedroom furniture? Even with all the above tips, there is no substitute for a good bed and mattress. In hot weather you sweat during your sleep, a Latex foam mattress would benefit your sleep in the hotter weather. The Latex mattress has all the benefits of memory foam mattress but is a natural foam that doesn’t hold moisture for a cooler affect. Constructed with holes that soften the Latex it also gives great support across the body.

Costa-del-sol?? No… Bournemouth beach as the heatwave continues!!

It has been widely reported in the British tabloids and on TV that the reason the England football team crashed out of the world cup is because of tiredness according to England boss Fabio Capello! England made it through the groups stages of the tournament but lost in the first game of the knockout stage against Germany. The team have been stopping at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus in the Royal Marang Hotel. Surely this could not be the reason the tiredness however as the 5* hotel caters for every need. The King Size extra-length beds look heavenly and bigger than most bedrooms. With the size of these beds even Cappello could fit his £6 million-a-year-job wage packet under his mattress. A lot of questions remain unanswered by the England management team, but what you can guarantee is come the summer of 2014 when the world cup moves to Brazil the whole of England will turn red and white once again and say maybe… just maybe… this is our year!
